In a move to continue to build on a strong period of growth, Renegade Pictures (a Shed Media company) has hired Charlotte Street as the company’s new MD. She is replacing the current MD, Ed Nissen, who after three very successful years is leaving Renegade to pursue new opportunities. He will remain at the company until April to facilitate the handover and transition period.
Street is currently Shed Media’s Head of Commercial Affairs, responsible for commercial exploitation of the company’s brands and programming across multiple platforms. With experience in both production and commercial, she is looking to lead Renegade into the next phase, as the business looks to continue its growth.
Renegade has also promoted Alexis Price to Head of Development, specialising in factual, factual entertainment and feature formats. In her new role, Price will oversee the development output and continue to drive the business’ already successful slate of formats which includes Don’t Tell the Bride and Celebrity Wedding Planner.
Renegade has recently produced a new ten part factual format, Car SOS for National Geographic, which started transmission this February, and a brand new Channel 5 Series, Where the Wild Men Are, which follows adventurer Ben Fogle living with people who have chosen to turn their backs on the daily grind and inhabit some of the most remote locations on earth.
Notes to editors:
Street has worked within the Shed Media Group for over ten years, having begun at Ricochet Digital as Head of Production, before taking on the role of Director of Commercial Affairs at Ricochet, and subsequently holding a group commercial role.
Nissen has held the role of MD for three years, having been instrumental in growing the company and overseeing the merger with the Shed Media Group. He has helped develop relationships with UK and US broadcasters and leaves the company in good stead as it looks to build on its successes of the last seven years. Nissen is leaving to pursue new opportunities but will remain at the company until April.
